The European Union’s Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) aims to ensure that products consumed within the EU do not contribute to global deforestation or forest degradation. Effective from December 30, 2025, for most companies, the EUDR mandates that businesses placing certain commodities on the EU market or exporting them must demonstrate that these products are deforestation-free and comply with the legal frameworks of their countries of origin.
